Famed chef Joel Robuchon has died at age 73. Robuchon started as a chef in 1970 at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris. He obtained his two first Michelin stars in 1978. Robuchon's restaurant, Jasmin, got three Michelin stars in 1984 and he was named "Chef of the Century" by the Gault & Millau - Michelin's rival guide - in 1990. Despite this success, he retired from high gastronomy in 1996.
