The political crisis in Nicaragua has resulted in over 200 deaths in two months of protests. Ongoing discussions between Daniel Ortega's government and the opposition have collapsed. Ortega's legacy, tied to the popular Sandinista revolutionary movement of the 1970's and 80's, is in danger of being ruined.
Susan Meiselas made many trips to Nicaragua during the Sandinista revolution and recovery period.
