Magnum Photographers
John Morris, probably the most famous picture editor of our time, has passed away today at the age of 100. Born in New Jersey and brought up in Chicago, John went on to become the picture editor at Life Magazine during World War II working closely with Robert Capa including the infamous D-Day landing episode and the legend of the 11 surviving pictures.

As well as Life, John's career also included time at most of the major players in American photojournalism including the New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic, Ladies Home Journal as well as being executive director at Magnum...
