The Rho Camp in the Ituri province is one of the largest refugee camps in the region. MSF runs a hospital and a health center there and also educates the refugees about sexual violence, the prevention of sexually transmittable diseases, and other health issues.

The sexual violence finds its roots in poverty, joblessness and anger and frustration.

While sexual violence is know as a weapon of war, the culture of sexual violence has spread beyond use by rebel groups and soldiers. It is also a big problem inside the camps. 

Through education and discussion, MSF is trying to break this cycle.
