KAZAKHSTAN. Almaty. January 2022. Didar Mardanov, educational consultant, was stoped on the street and detained by police after refusing to show the content in his mobile phone.

After two hours of detention he was released and posted what he lived on instagram. The post got 33,000 reactions and forced the government to change their policy about the controlling of people's mobile phones during the security checks in the streets.

225 people were killed (including soldiers and police officers) and 4,578 wounded; nearly 12,000 people have been detained in Kazakhstan in massive riots across the country, according to authorities.
