UAE. Abu Dhabi. 2024. Evacuees from Gaza arrive in the Abu Dhabi airport. On Sept 11th 2024 a UAE plane carrying wounded Palestinians landed in Abu Dhabi from Ramon airport in Israel via the Karam Salam crossing in Gaza. The United Arab Emirates, in coordination with the World Health Organization, evacuted 252 injured Palestinians from Gaza as part of its effort to provide humanitarian aid and medical care to victims of the war. Over the course of nearly a year the UAE has evacuated 1,917 patients and family members.
