Happiness grew up in Ajegunle, a 550,000 inhabitants disadvantaged neighboorhood in the West of Lagos. She got pregnant at 16 and, as single yourng mother in a low income situation, she found help at Young Mom's Clinic (YMC), a governement owned center in Ajeromi specialized in pregnant adolescent girls, funded with the support of UNFPA. There, she acquired digital skills that helped her opening a hair styling home-service business. She earns an average 10-15$ per client and has 5-6 clients per week. "I love it so much, not just because it’s my source of income and my profession but also because I love making my customers happy." Thanks to this job, she is independent and able to take care of herself. "I hope to build up my own empire one day, to be successful and make my family proud."
