BRASIL. Boa Vista. Pintolândia. October 17, 2022.
An aerial view of Boa Vista, Brazil, the destination for many Venezuelans who are eventually housed in refugee camps managed by the Brazilian military.
Every day approximately 1000 Venezuela natives cross the border to Brazil to escape the harsh economic conditions of their homeland, hoping to have their basic needs met. They often spend three to four months at the border until they are relocated to different regions of Brazil by bus. Those who have relatives in Brazil can be reunited with them, while those who find jobs will relocate to start working for their new employers. The rest often stay at the refugee camps.
