Protesters blocking the roads in the centre of Warsaw. For the past 12 days, women and supportive men have been protesting against the introduction of a more restrictive abortion law. It have been the most massive protest since the fall of communism in Poland. Numerous proposals of the new abortion ban have been put forward by the right wing government in the past few years, all of which were protested. On October 22nd, 2020 the politicised Constitutional Court banned abortion in cases of severely-damaged fetuses.
