She and her family were displaced in 1967 from Halhul, Palestine, to Amman. They initially stayed in a mosque in Al Ashrafiya mountain. She recalls that they used to eat cheese, butter, and bread during that time. Subsequently, they moved to the camp, and she has been in the camp for around 40 years now
