JORDAN. Russeifa. 26 November, 2023.
A Palestinian boy and a shopkeeper on an alleyway inside the Marka Palestinian refugee camp in Jordan.
The Marka refugee camp, referred also as Hitten camp, was established by UNWRA as one of the six emergency camps created in 1968 to house Palestinians who fled the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during and after the 1967 Arab-Israeli War. The camp is located about 10KM northeast of Amman, and is home to about 62,000 registered Palestinian refugees, many of them originally from Gaza.
