GB. England. British Architect, Will ALSOP, at his offices in Battersea, London. He is responsible for many distinctive and controversial modernist buildings, mostly in the United Kingdom. Alsop's buildings are usually distinguished by their vibrant use of colour and unusual forms, the lower level of his offices is a painting studio where he works on a variety of media. Alsop worked with Engineers Atelier One, on the Cardiff Bay visitor Centre in the mid 1990's, the inpsiration for the shape was a simple 'Bic' cigarette lighter.
