Like most people who measure human value by the paleness of skin, the Vietnamese do discriminate against the offspring of the black fathers (although the extent of their prejudice is probably exaggerated.) This girl, in a school in the countryside, seemed well liked. Back in Saigon, Americans claimed persecution, hoping to get visas to emigrate to America. 1985
