TANZANIA.Traditions play a strong role in life in rural Tanzania. The proud father of a young boy explains; “These boys were circumcised one month ago, now they are healed we have the ceremony. When a boy is circumcised it’s a symbol that he’s a man within the family. Not to be married or anything, but be a man because of the teaching that they get in that month. They learn how to live with people, the body of the woman, how to love and respect their elders, things that you can do and things that you can’t do as a man.”
