Peter Marlow
G.B. ENGLAND. Sandwell, The West Midlands. Known as 'The Black Country'. Peter Marlow photographed the many closed down foundaries and engineering industries and titled the project 'Closed Down Britain'. During this dramatic era of the severe decline of traditional manufacturing industry in the area Marlow took workers back to their old places of work inside now derelict plants.
Harpers Foundry which closed in 1982. the old office of Larry Bradley who worked there for forty years. For the Bradley family this had a huge impact, his brother worked there 46 years, his father and two sons, his wife, and his brother's wife, plus brothers-in-law all worked at the plant.
