France. Loire-Atlantique. Clisson. The town is situated at the confluence of the Sèvre Nantaise and the Moine. The Duke of Brittany had this covered market structure built in the 15th century but documentary evidence shows that this site served as a market square as early as the 13th century, under Guillaume de Clisson. Here a shopper buys meat at a market stall. 2014
