GB. ENGLAND. Greenwhich. The world's largest free-stading scaffolding was built in under three weeks, and dismantled in one. With a lift shaft at its edge, it provided access to the gantries from which the roof panels were affixed, and for the installation of the ventilation system which replaces the air within the Dome every hour. 27 March 1998.
