UKRAINE. Mariupol. May 30, 2015.
A former sanatorium near Mariupol occupied by fighters of militia Pravy sektor (Right Sector).
Right Sector (Ukrainian: Pravyi Sektor) is a far-right Ukrainian nationalist political party that originated in November 2013 as a paramilitary confederation at the Euromaidan protests in Kyiv, where its street fighters fought against riot police. The coalition became a political party on 22 March 2014, at which time it was estimated to have perhaps 10,000 members.
Located on the Azov Sea, some 100 kilometers from the rebel-held provincial capital Donetsk, Mariupol is seen as a key element of a potential land corridor from Russia to the Crimean peninsula.
