Ian Berry
G.B. England. Lincolnshire. Near Sutton Bridge. Gedney Drove End. The Wash. The tide comes in at a very fast pace, flooding the mudflats and making them treacherous. These are the conditions the keepers of King John's baggage train containing his wealth and collected taxes discovered when trying to make a short-cut across the mudflats from King's Lynn to Swineshead Abbey, only to be cut off by the incoming tide. This lost booty has never been found and is likely to be under the ground because much of the area King John's men traversed has since been reclaimed as farmland. 2015
