With limited funds, they were forced to only buy part of what they needed for the coming winter. They had hoped to make it to Holland to join their sister. They received fake documents from a smuggler and tried to board a plane for Switzerland. Maysam and her sister Naela succeeded on boarding the plane, but were caught on a train in Germany and forced to register. They will have a hearing in March. Their mother and brother Yusuf were caught and forced to do the overland trek. They successfully arrived in Holland.
