MEXICO. Mexico City. November 8, 2018
Migrants from Central America, part of the caravan that started in San Pedro Sula Honduras on October 12 arrive in Mexico City at the Base Ball Stadium (Estadio Palillo).
Víctor Manuel, 16, from Olanchito de Yoro, Honduras
I am traveling alone. Because they wanted to kill me, the enemies of my father, some enemies he had. I came because my father and mother died and they took an older brother and killed him. They almost killed me. I don’t have anyone to take care of me. Nobody knows I’m going to the US. Thank God it has gone well [the walk]. I want to work, to find work, to work and to have a house built in Honduras, to buy what I need in this life. I want to request asylum. I never went to school. I have been working since I was 10-years-old. I would like to study.
