On June 15th, 800 years to the day since King John sealed the Magna Carta at Runnymede, Salisbury celebrated the Barons' attempt to curb the power of the throne by producing a document that became the basis for the constitution of England and other countries. Here, two members of the French Catholic clergy who came specially for the anniversary celebration stand outside Salisbury Cathedral in front of the west door as dusk falls, waiting for the firework display which rounds off the weekend of commemoration of the Magna Carta. 2015
