GREENLAND. Nuuk. 2018. Crosses of one of Nuuk's cemetaries. Greenland has the highest youth suicide rate in the world, over 100 suicides per 100,000 people. Most of these are in the age group 15-24y. The causes of this is an amalgam of many different factors, from family absue, alcoholism etc. But researchers also point to that many people have difficulties finding their place in the crossroads between the traditional Greenlandic and modern lifestyles.
