Spain. Basque Country. Near Guernica. 2017. The Painted Forest of Oma. The pines in the Oma forest, in a remote part of Spain were turned into Land Art by the Basque artist Agustín Ibarrola in 1982. He used a rustic ladder to fill the forest with motifs from culture and "our collective feeling". The work was completed in 2000. In the past year the region has been repainting and renovating Ibarrola's vision.
