Jovana wears her red apron, a special souvenir from when she attended one of Jadranka’s workshops seven years ago. Since then the women have remained in contact. Jovana’s father and brother were not supportive of her activism at first, and she had to attend meetings in secret. Her town has a very patriarchal culture, and she says she is the first girl here to wear jeans.
