It’s Manhattan’s Fort Knox. The man with the red tie did not skimp on the gold, and we think of Picasso on this avenue, already so outrageously wealthy. Designed in 1981 and finished in 1985, no one used to pay any attention to this building, shaped like a giant gold brick. Melania would like to live here permanently, which poses enormous security problems at exorbitant costs. Lastly, some good news: New York Times subscribers have doubled since the election.
