IRAN. 2017. Zarrin Joob.
In the village of Zarrin Joob, near the epicenter of Sunday’s 7.2 richter earthquake, people sat in mourning for their family members who died when house's collapsed on them. Over 500 people died in Sunday’s tremor, almost all in Iran. The city of Zarrin Joob, population 30.000, has among the hardest hit during Sunday’s 7.2 magnitude earthquake. Many people now live in the tents provide by Iran’s Red Cresent Society, the Islamic version of the Red Cross. Electricity still isn’t working everywhere, but those in the city have had more access to help compared to some of those living in villages.
