During the funeral for Martin Luther KING, Jr. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mahalia Jackson, the gospel singer, sang from a front row pew in the corner of the church, where the assasinated civil rights leader's mother sat. Her song included the words "This Troubled World is Not My Final Home."
