CHINA. Shenzhen, Guangdong. 1996. The Everite Footwear Company, managed by a Taiwanese corporation, has several plants in southern Guangdong Province and in Shenzhen. The plants employ a total of about ten thousand people. The shoes produced are exported mainly to the United States, Japan, Great Britain, and Russia.
