BANGLADESH. Keraniganj, Dhaka District. 2015. Garment laborers  Keranigani, on the Buriganga River at the south end of Dhaka, is one of the largest ports in the world. This section of Dhaka District houses hundreds of local garment factories where laborers are paid by piece. Most work a minimum of twelve hour days, six days a week. With windows barred and fabric piled to the ceiling, the six and seven story buildings remain a fire trap. Many workers from impoverished rural areas, sleep on the concrete factory floors.
