Hiroji Kubota
JAPAN. Muroo, Nara. 2002. Golden Pavillion. A monk called Shuen built Muroo Zenshi Temple in the Nara period (710-784). While most temples on and around Mount Koya banned women from their grounds, Muroo Temple has been renowned for centuries for permittting women to enter.
