ICELAND. Reykjavik. 2007. Environemental activists, dressed up as clowns, construction workers etc, being confronted by the police. The activists were part in an anti-industrialization protest in central Reykjavik. The clown costumes is part of a "Clown Army" routine, meant to bring attention to the protest in a surprising way.
The protest was non-violent, and consisted of a parade that marched down highways, stopping traffic along the way. Once they got close to the centre, they were halted by police, and several activists were arrested.
