A Palestinian child with crutches on the Israeli side of the wall buys fruit from the market that has been financially affected as the wall has cut off most of the store. The wall in Abu Dis runs east of the 1967 United Nations partition line cutting through Palestinian neighborhoods. Cut off from Israel and often from the rest of the West Bank, Palestinians will lose half of their land, plus access to employment, schools, shopping and hospitals. Many will find themselves living in walled-in cantons.
