NORTH KOREA. August, 2010. The Pyongyang Ostrich Farm, located about 20km from the city center. This farm, one of two in the area, was established under the direction of the Secretary General of Korean Worker's Party, Kim Jong Il, with the goal of providing more food for the population. In addition to the meat, ostrich eggs, hides and feathers are important by-products. Officials claim that this farm is the largest of it's kind in the world.
