The Kathakali dance is a tradition which dates back 2000 years and is presented in the courtyards of the temple of thousand-years-old temples. The repertoire consists of 110 stories from the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabarata which rehearsed by the Kathakali dancers (always male).
