This kibbutz in the Western Galilee was founded in 1949 by evacuees from Beit-Har'aravah and with members of the "Habonim" movment from the United States.Beit-Ha'aravah was first established in 1939 at the north end of the Dead Sea, and was abandoned in the course of the War of Independence.
