CHINA. Tibet. 1993. This mother, Emily, is an 88-year-old Catholic, but her son Ado, 68 years old, and his wife Yela, 65 years old, are Buddhists. Before their preacher was expelled from their village in 1949, all the members of the family were Catholics. Later, the son and his wife converted to Tibetan Buddhism, but they still keep their Catholic names. The two religions peacefully coexist in the family, and they respect each other.
