Peter Marlow
GB. London. Hackney. The Murray Grove Apartments. Designed by Cartwright Picard Architects for the Peabody Trust housing association. A modern example of prefab housing to meet a chronic housing shortage. The units are built in a factory using steel instead of the traditional wood, and shipped to the site, and with minimal on site construction costs, the end result is high quality and cheap housing. This housing was designed for professionals with modest incomes, with an emphasis on good design and green space.
Patrick MCKINNEY, an interior designer.
