James DEAN spent his youth on the farm of his uncle Marcus Winslow, where he loved to mix with the animals in the barnyard, to explore and perform in the cattle pens and barns. He appreciated the surreal aspects of his searching for pleasure and responded to the pig's oinking to an accompaniment to the bongo drums.
