David Seymour
ITALY. Venice. 1950. "In one of the old palaces on the Grand canal, the ground floor was taken over by the Coca Cola Company and transformed into a main storehouse. Every morning brightly painted barges, with the well known yellow and red coulours, are attached to the mooring poles which were used for centuries by the gondolas. Every morning, they take their load of Coca Cola bottles and all day long you can see them throughout the canals delivering the drink which is slowly penetrating with gaining popularity in Venice".
