USA. New York state. New York City. JVC Jazz Festival. 6th avenue, between 44th and 43rd streets. From left to right : Swiss jazz musician Daniel HUMAIR (drums), German jazz musician Joachim KUHN (piano), Geneviève PEYREGNE (artistic agent) and French jazz musician Michel PORTAL (clarinets, saxophones, bandoneon) with his suitcase containing his sheet music and his stage costume. The suitcase was forgotten in a taxi earlier in the afternoon, and was retrieved by Geneviève Peyrègne who took the same taxi by chance. Returning to the Town Hall before the evening concerts. The album "9-11 pm Town Hall" produced by Label Bleu will be recorded live during the concerts, and the music will be the soundtrack of the movie "Jazz Français à New York" filmed during the festival. Wednesday, June 29th 1988.
