FRANCE. Paris. May 19th, 1935. Popular Front leaders together for the celebration of the anniversary of the 1871 Paris Commune at the "Mur des Federes", an anti-fascist memorial to the defenders of the Commune, in the Pere Lachaise cemetery. The last surviving defenders were present with a crowd of 200.000. Socialists and Communists were marching together. Left to right are: Julien RACAMOND (moustache), Leon BLUM (striped tie, pince-nez), Vincent AURIOL (partly hidden by Blum), Maurice THOREZ (dark tie, leaning forward), Andre MARTY (striped shirt, moustache), Jean Richard MOCH (partly hidden, dark hair, glasses), DELEPINE (bearded), Madame BLUM. Marcel CACHIN is at extreme bottom left.
