1960. In response to the shelling of Kibbutz Tel Katzir and neighboring settlement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) acted against Syrian position at Taufik, on the Western slopes of the Golan Heights. Prime Minister and Defense Minister Mr David Ben-Gurion met with soldiers after the action at Poriya Heights.
