CHINA. Beijing. Mrs. Liu Hui Xuan in her partly demolished Hutong before rehousing. Located in the Wangfujing area of Beijing. She and her husband came from the poor province of Henan and have lived in this traditonal Hutong (alley) since the late 1960's. They were housed here through their jobs as industrial painters for a nationalised company.
