CHINA. Guizhou province. Zunyi county. Primary school in Xin Zhou Zhen village. Zhu hai nan, 5 years old (with the beige pullover) has his parents Mr Zhu and Mrs Wang away from home as 37% of the children of this village. They have migrated to Shanghai to work as Mingong where they run a small business as cooks for Mingong (migrant workers). They come once a year during the Spring festival to visit them for two weeks. Hai nan and his brother live together with their grand-parents who take care of them all the year along. May 2007.
