GEORGIA. Tbilisi. November 22, 2003. After Shevardnaze is forced out of Parliament he "leaves power" at a mostly Adjarian AKHOLZINEBA (revival)pro-Shevardnaze protesters meeting at the Parliament. After several weeks of protest opposition demonstrators overrun police barricades, storm the parliaments first session and force President Shevardnaze to abandon the Parliament and his Chancellery. Pro-Shevardnaze who hold a demonstration are chased away. The Police forces change sides. Opposition Demonstrations and Vigil on Tbilisi's main Avenue Rustavelli, in front of the Georgian Parliament.
After eclatant fraud in favour of President E. Shevardnaze's ruling party in the November 2nd parliamentarian elections protest started. Protesters are united in an opposition block "National Movement" behind the main leaders Zurab Shvania, Nino Burshanadze, Mikhail Zaakashvili.
