Arthur Miller, born October 17 1915 in Harlem, New York, was a prolific and celebrated playwriter and novelist who contributed to many successes in both theater and film. His credits include "Death of a Salesman" (1949) which owed him a Pulitzer Prize, "The Crucible" (1953) and "The Misfits" (1961).
