Archive - Profile: Aung San Suu Kyi

Early results from Myanmar's general elections point to a sweeping victory for Aung San Suu Kyi 's National League for Democracy (NLD) party. Though constitutionally barred from being president due to constitution blocking people with foreign offspring from holding the post, she claims she would make the big decisions while a colleague holds the post.

Magnum photographers have photographed Aung San Suu Kyi through her 15 years of house arrest, her release and the subsequent changes in Burma's electoral policy.
