Daleside is a collaboration with photographer Cyprien Clément-Delmas. Daleside is a small town in the Midvaal, south of Johannesburg. Sobekwa first visited Daleside when his mother was employed there as a domestic worker. It seemed an isolated place, a ghost town. It used to be a white dominated area, but now it is mixed and this is visible in the images. The people who live there used to - or still do - work in the mines or farms.
