American fashion designer Virgil Abloh became Louis Vuitton’s artistic director for menswear in March. He’s the first black man and American from outside of New York to reach this respected post. Abloh’s work is generally classified as luxury streetwear, a style he developed under his Milan-based brand, Off-White.
In June Alex Majoli photographed Abloh at Louis Vuitton’s Paris headquarters and at a runway show.
